If You Have an Existing Borehole Problem

For a fault on an existing system, describing the symptom precisely gets you a far more useful response than reporting that the borehole is not working. Useful detail includes what exactly happens, when it started, whether it came on suddenly or gradually, and whether anything was worked on beforehand. Before You Drill

Two things worth knowing before you commit to anything. Completed boreholes should be registered with the City of Tshwane, and abstraction beyond reasonable domestic use may require registration or a water use authorisation from the Department of Water and Sanitation. On the dolomitic ground south of the city there may be further requirements before a rig comes on site. Confirm your position before drilling rather than afterwards.

And nobody can guarantee that a borehole will find water. A water survey improves the odds, but the risk is real and any contractor offering certainty is overselling.
